Addictive Personality Disorder Test Akron OH

It has been nearly 8 years since I stopped drinking and I don't haven't had a problem with it since the day I stopped, but a lot of people around me seem to have a problem since I stopped. They worry that when I go to a bar the smell will put me back on the drink, sorry but it was the addictive properties of alcohol that made me an alcoholic not the smell.

Addictive Personalities and Societies Attitude

Gerard Moran

Friday, September 14, 2007 I was an alcoholic by the age of 16, but of course I was too young to realize it. It was not until the age of 22 that I realized I had a drink problem and sorted it out. I had spent so many years buried in myself that I did not see how it was affecting family, friends and me. Now I am faced with another problem.

They are careful not to give me food cooked in alcohol; they don't seem to realize that the alcohol has evaporated by the time the food is cooked. Eating a tasty meal will not make run off to the bar and get drunk.

So why do they act like this? It's called brainwashing. Some clever person decided that people that take addictive substances and get addicted to that substance did not get addicted to it because it was addictive but because they have an addictive personality.

It is my opinion that this clever person was in the medical profession because 99% of society takes it for granted that this person has to be right. It's also my opinion that the person who created the addictive personality was never addicted to an addictive substance.

So here is the truth. It is not your personality that addicts you to addictive substances it is the addictive substance that gets you addicted.

So why do I think I am right? Well I was told I had an addictive personality, sure I was addicted to alcohol but nothing else. I tried a lot of different drugs while I was drinking and never got addicted to them, most likely because I had too much alcohol in my system. So if I had an addictive personality why did I not get addicted to all the drugs I tried? The answer is simple: there is no such thing as an addictive personality it is just a phrase to make it easier to explain today's drug problems and maybe it makes it easier for the big wigs that can not deal with the drug problems in today's world.

After having said all this I do realize there is another part to drug addiction other than the addictive substance, the psychological part. From the day we are born society starts brainwashing us into thinking we are miss...
