HIV Testing Yuma AZ

As addicts, you definitely need to be aware of your possible risk. If your sexual behaviors have included other people than your wife, you definitely need an AIDS test. This is not just for your piece of mind, but so that you know you are not continually exposing your partner to a possible life threatening disease. This test can be done anonymously in most of the larger cities in our country.

HIV Risks for Addicts

HIV Tests

Dr. Doug Weiss - 6/22/2007

The reality of AIDS is everywhere. The results take anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks.

The exercise of getting an AIDS test has brought some soberness to many addicts and their partners if they get tested as well. There is nothing quite like a community clinic to bring home how your life has become out of control and how very much you have to lose if you continue in your addiction.

Going to an AIDS clinic is like a speeding addict going to court for a speeding ticket without a lawyer. There is the reality that what the addict has been doing is harmful and there is the fact that he may actually get consequences for his behavior. Unlike the speeding addict, the sex addicts consequence may be his own health and life and that of his spouse as well.

If you need added support to go through this exercise, recruit a recovering person to go to the clinic with you. This exercise can also give tremendous relief when the results are consistently negative.
